Beautifully decorated butter cookies that are fun and easy to make
You will need:
20-25 Butter Cookies
6.5 ounces confectioners sugar
3-4 tbl spoons water
1 tea spoon red food color
1 tea spoon yellow food color
Optional: Zest of an organic orange
Mix the ingredients and add the food coloring a little at a time until you reach the desired orange color.
Buy ready-made orange colored frosting.
Decorate the top of your butter cookies with the orange frosting and let them dry completely, approximately 30-45 minutes.
Easy decoration icing:
2 tbl spoons white chocolate, chopped
2 tbl spoons dark chocolate, chopped
Cut pieces of cookie sheet into right triangles with a side length of about 8 inches. Shape into cones and close with staples. Fill with chocolate and close the top. Place the cones in a double boiler. If you do not have a double boiler, melt in a water bath (place the cones in an oven-proof bowl floating inside a large pot with water. Slowly heat up the water on the stove top, but do not let it boil). Once the chocolate has melted, it is ready to be used for decoration.
Easier decoration icing:
Buy ready-made black icing.
Decorate your orange butter cookies with spider webs, jack-o-lanterns, and other spooky designs.Print Recipe
